13mm Faceted Oval Carnelian Beads

Natural carnelian gemstone beads are thin, faceted ovals averaging 13mm long, 10mm wide and 6.5mm thick. Sold by 15.5" (39.4cm) strands of about 31 beads. These flat beads are smoothly polished and translucent. Center drilled holes average 1mm in diameter. Sizing may vary slightly from bead-to-bead. Each strand has mixed shades of peach, red-orange, and pale yellow. Some stones have agate banding or spots, but most are single-color. Carnelian is a form of chalcedony and has been used as a gem since antiquity.
