2" Feather Die Cuts, Top Grain Leather Precut Blanks (10)

Feather shapes measure 2 3/8" long and 3/4" wide (60 x 20mm) and are cut as mirrored pairs. Since it's a asymmetric design, cutting them this way adds balance to your designs (especially if you're making earrings).

These die cut pieces are top grain leather, handmade by me from scraps of high quality Italian cowhide. It's the kind of leather used for comfy furniture and boutique purses. Shapes are approximately 1.5mm thick and flexible, but not droopy. Use them as necklace focals, bold earring dangles, bookmark parts, or to embellish anything from a hat to a special greeting card. Cut edges are unfinished and may have a little "fuzz" that can be trimmed with sharp scissors or filed with an emery board for a smoother look. Feather has a 1mm round hole at the top for attaching to a finding and a cut-out, slightly curved "vein" running down the center.

Depending on the scraps I have to work with, leather may be smooth, pebbled, distressed, or embossed. As these are made from a single thickness of natural cowhide, the finish is only on the front. Choose from either a set of 5 matched pairs in assorted pastels (ice blue, white, blush, light yellow, and light green) or 10 pieces all the same color (ice blue or medium brown). Custom requests may take additional time to prepare.
