9.5mm Round Cabochons, Gray Mother of Pearl Flat Back Gemstones (2)

Gray mother of pearl cabochons are cut as flat-backed rounds from a single layer of shell nacre and then dyed dark gray for a sophisticated look. Even with the addition of dye, each piece will have unique variations in color and markings. Stones measure 9.5mm in diameter with a 4mm dome.

These naturally iridescent gems would make a lovely addition to jewelry, accessories, mosaics, collages, and paper crafts. Although part of a large lot of salvaged vintage jewelry components, they appear to be unused.
