Non-magnetic hematite rondelles measure approximately 9mm in diameter and 4mm thick with 0.8mm center holes. Mirror-like dark gray convex rounds come as a 15" strand of about 96 beads. These semiprecious natural gemstone discs are heavy, too. Each strand weighs nearly 3 ounces!
Beads were streak-tested on unglazed porcelain. Hematite, which contains iron ore, creates a red or reddish brown streak (synthetic hematite does not).
