Vintage 12mm Silver Plastic Beads on 90.5” Molded Strand with Clasp

Vintage silver plastic bead strand has 90.5" of shiny, round 12mm beads molded on thread. This extra long strand of approximately 190 beads has a jump ring at one end and a fold-over clasp at the other. That might seem silly for such a long strand, but it enables you to wrap it around your neck several times instead of being limited to the number of loops that will slip over your head. Can you imagine trying to do that with an immaculately coiffed hairdo? I thought not!

Some beads may have scratches on their finish, consistent with age and long-term storage. The heavy-duty thread used in manufacture is still in good condition. I'd give it a gentle cleaning in a sink of warm water and drop of soap, followed by a drip-dry just to freshen it up since the beads can't be restrung. The beads will cease to function as beads if you cut them from the strand, as they are not drilled. You could wear the necklace as part of an authentically retro outfit, a festive Mardi Gras costume, OR use it as garland on a table-top Christmas tree. Or all of those things. Or something entirely different.
