2" Large Teardrops with Pine Tree Cut-Outs, Top Grain Leather Shapes for Layered Christmas Pendants

Christmas-themed 2” leather teardrops measure approximately 50mm long and 35mm wide. These are designed for 2-layer designs. The top layer has a 1 1/4" pine tree in the center, the bottom layer is solid. You will receive an 8-piece mix and match set combining reversible forest green/burgundy with single-sided neutral pieces of white, cream, or vegetable tan top grain leather.

Reversible pieces have pebbly dark green top grain leather bonded to a layer of burgundy polyurethane.

These die cut pieces are top grain leather, handmade by me from scraps of high quality Italian cowhide. Pieces are approximately 1.5mm thick and flexible, but not droopy. Use them as layered components of bold earring dangles or to embellish anything from a hat to a special greeting card. Cut edges are unfinished and may have fuzz on the edges that can be trimmed with sharp scissors or filed with an emery board for a smoother look. A small hole at the narrow end makes it easy to add components, such as jump rings, dangles, and ear wires.

Depending on the scraps I have to work with, leather may be smooth, pebbled, distressed, or embossed. Vegetable tan pieces are tooling leather, which is a bit stiffer, but the best choice for stamping, embossing, painting, and even dyeing. As these are made from a single thickness of natural cowhide, the finish is only on the front.
