Large Rectangle Cowhide Die Cuts with Scalloped Top for DIY Product Tags

68x42mm (approx 2 11/16” x 1 5/8”) rectangles have rounded corners, a scalloped top edge, and a 4mm top hole. These die cut pieces are genuine top grain leather, handmade by me from pieces of vegetable tanned Italian cowhide. Blank shapes are tooling leather approximately 1.5mm thick and bendable. Cut edges are unfinished and may have a bit of fuzz that can be carefully trimmed with sharp scissors or filed with an emery board. The large hole centered at the top edge makes it easy to add jump rings, cording, ribbons, and ball chain. Use them as layered components of bold pendants, make your own product tags, or design a unique key ring.

Tooling leather is a bit stiffer than other leathers (it's used for belts and saddles), but it's the best choice for stamping, embossing, painting, and even dyeing. As these are made from a single thickness of natural cowhide, the front is smooth and the back is fuzzy. As leather is a natural product, there will be some variation in color within each lot. You may also see imperfections here and there (tool marks, scars, brands, etc.).
