Rose Quartz Oval Cabochon, Vintage Art Deco Carved Gemstone

Fancy rose quartz cabochon is carved in the shape of an Art Deco-style oval. Naturally semi- translucent, this pale pink stone measures approximately 28.5mm long, 20.75mm wide and 5.3mm thick, with an approximate weight of 22.35 carats. I have two stones in the inventory. One has very minimal wear and tear. The second has chipping along the bottom of the stone, particularly at one end (all damage can hidden in a bezel).

Vintage salvage from the 1990's (or before), this little treasure has a bit of equally vintage brownish grunge and adhesive residue (and possibly small scratches) on the back from removed findings. Although I've cleaned most of the dirt out of the ridges on the front of the stone, there's still a bit remaining. Give it a little bath in warm, soapy water and and a gentle scrub with a soft brush to bring out more of its charm!
