8mm Goldstone Cubes, Vintage Aventurine Glass Cabochons, Undrilled Beads (3)

Goldstone cubes measure 8mm on all sides. Corners are blunt, rather than sharp. Although they look like beads, they do not have holes. These glittering coppery brown pressed glass stones are awesome choice for embellishing mosaics and collages, not to mention jewelry and accessories. Goldstone is neither gold nor stone, it's a faux gemstone made of glass with metallic particles and pigments. It's also known as "aventurine glass", as it mimics the properties of natural aventurine (a type of quartz that has suspended particles of mica and other minerals). Whether you call them undrilled beads or thick square cabochons, these coppery brown gems are glittery and gorgeous!

Stones were obtained as part of a large lot of vintage salvage from the 1990's or before. They do not appear to have been used, and despite being jumbled about and mixed with other stones during long-term storage, they have survived remarkably unscathed.
