Hematite 18x13mm Rectangle Cabochon with Center Hole

Hematite rectangle measures approximately 18x13mm and is 4mm thick. Opaque metallic black cabochon has a smooth, nearly flat dome and faceting on the sides, just above the girdle. Cabochon has a center hole for setting a 2.5mm rhinestone (I've shown a 18pp stone set in the hole). The back side is smooth, but not polished. Stones appear to have been calibrated, as all stones in stock are perfect matches. Average weight is 15.4ct.

These are vintage salvaged semiprecious gems, but they do not appear to have been used.
