Nephrite jade oval cabochons are semi-translucent olive green cabs with flat bottoms and domed tops. Uncalibrated stones measure approximately 10x8mm with a dome rising to 3mm at the center. These vintage stones from the 1990's or before were cut and polished in West Germany.
Stones are calibrated, meaning they have been cut to fit standard-size mountings and settings. Nephrite is a naturally occurring mineral; color and inclusions vary. Stones sold in pairs will match each other as closely as possible.
