Vintage glass cabochons are translucent light amethyst with swirls of white givre. Although these unfoiled pressed glass gems are octagons, the edges are more rounded than cut stones (closer to a rounded rectangle than a true octagon). They'd be a lovely addition to spring and wedding jewelry. How about at the center of a jeweled hair comb, or in an open back setting where they can really sparkle?
Made in Europe (most likely West Germany or Czechoslovakia) between 1950 - 1970. They're unused, but may have small nicks on the bottom edge (easily hidden within a bezel).
Choose from 12x10mm or 10x8mm stones.
12mm octagons have a 5.5mm dome, whereas the 10mm stones have a 5mm dome.
