Let these imperfect scraps of high quality vegetable-tanned cowhide tooling leather add a natural touch to small projects. Thickness ranges from 4-5oz up to 6-7oz (1.6mm up to 2.8mm). They're a bit too thick to use with a hand-cranked embossing machine, so you'll need leatherworking tools to get these into shape for your creations. Their sturdiness and natural beige to tan color make them a great choice for stamping, embossing, painting, or even dyeing. As these scraps come from multiple hides and the tanners use a variety of dye shades, scraps vary in color from pinkish beige to medium tan. Random-sized pieces are edge cuts and scraps from strap-making. Expect to see imperfections here and there (creases, scuffs, tool marks, scars, brands, etc.).
