Rhinestones
Rhinestones are imitation gemstones made from glass. Some glass is of the highest quality and called crystal. There are two basic ways of making faceted rhinestones. The older of the two methods TTC (or tin table cut). Molding machines press blobs of molten glass into faceted shapes. When the glass cools, only the top (the table) of each stone is cut by machine. In the second method, MC (or machine cut), all of a rhinestone's many facets are cut by precisely calibrated machines.
