Green Aventurine Oval Cabochon, Carved Scarab 16x12x5.3mm 6.9ct

Green aventurine oval scarab cabochons are semi-translucent green stones with flat bottoms and domed tops carved with Egyptian Revival motifs (beetle on top, simple hieroglyphs on back). Uncalibrated stones measure approximately 16x12mm with a 5.3mm dome. These vintage stones from the 1990's or before were part of a large lot of salvaged semiprecious gems. They don't seem to have been used in settings, as I didn't find any nicks, scratches, or adhesive residue.

Aventurine is a naturally occurring mineral; color and inclusions vary. The stones are not calibrated; dimensions vary slightly.
