Here's the front cover of the journal I've been using this year. Last year, a rather bland pre-made journal migrated into my stash. After using it as a practice book for page folding, collaged extensions, and other improvements, I put the first half of the book to use as the base for #JunkJournalJanuary. Now, it's time for the July pages!
Day 1: "Spark" On the page to the right, I started with a window pocket made from one of the printables from https://getmessyart.com/Junk-Journal-July where you'll find all the details about this month-long challenge. Then, I collaged various bits of English, Spanish, and German dictionary entries for "spark" and related terms. Pink-tinged matte gesso on the right echoes the flowers on the left. I used bright gold acrylic paint to create sparks and dots on both pages.
