Classic poetry and author's names, a torn image of early film star Clara Bow, and assorted tissue papers make up this spread for prompts "timeless", "tip-in", and "ephemeral". The tipped-in journaling card features verses from Gray's Elegy. Since both poetry selections came from the same anthology, I added a layer of vintage tracing paper to the card to "fade" the text and give a different texture from the neighboring page. I wanted the card to almost float over the translucent collage, so it's tipped in only on the back side with a strip of book page. To add the translucent franken-paper to the journal, I tore out an original page leaving only a narrow strip to attach the collage. The back of the seam is reinforced with translucent washi tape.
