The prompts for days 20 and 21 of #JunkJournalJuly were "picture" and "colors". As part of my first round of renovations to a (more or less) blank junk journal, I added the window fold-out on one side and some strategic page crumbling on the other. For the challenges, I tipped in colorful pictures of flowers and fantastic blue morpho butterfly. The red flowers of the journaling spot tie in with the red stripe on the window frame. The journaling spot is actually 2 small pages, using pinking shears to cut the picture slightly smaller than the gray notepaper gives it the appearance of another frame. I sponged matte white gesso on the back of the butterfly page to make it writeable. The colors of the ornately framed daisies and the tiny gusseted envelope mirror the gold and floral washi tapes used to tip in the butterfly page.
