Page spread for July 2-3
Prompts: postcard and fold
There's a lot going on between these to pages, with faux postcard and letter fold-outs and journaling space hidden under a page fold. The collage and bottom fold-out on the left page came from a vintage stamp catalog. I covered the catalog numbers and added a bit more interest with smaller stamp images. The removable tag is made from #JunkJournalJuly printables from https://getmessyart.com/Junk-Journal-July and backed with vintage book paper. The faux postcard fold-out in the center of the spread uses another of those great free printables, plus an interesting photo from a travel brochure. I used distress ink and matte spray on photo to age it a bit. It's hinged to the edge of a page fold with scraps of vintage fabric. On the right page, faux letters overlap and unfold to the left and right. The yellow rose in the corner was an original feature in the journal, one of the few things too pretty to cover up. If you follow the strip of vintage music paper at the bottom, you'll see it leads into the hidden journaling space between the two pages.
